HALL OF FAME
Situated in the Stockwell Park Estate of Brixton, the ‘Hall of Fame’ was in need of a redesign. It was a sunken concrete pit and even though it became a hotbed for an international group of street artists, it was prone to flooding, encouraged anti-social behaviour, lacked amenities and was hidden away from the public. Working as project lead, Rich made several design interventions to improve the space; creating a bold, sports-friendly floor, a landmark podium to attract attention and new openings to allow for movement and natural surveillance. New textured brick cladding improved the street side appearance and a large set of steps/ramps allowed for watchers to gather and wheelchair users to access the space.
