Approached by a Housing Association to improve some of the flats within a 1950s block, Rock Townsend countered with a more ambitious idea - adding a whole new storey of homes, the sale of which could improve more than just kitchens and bathrooms. Rich led the team that worked on this complicated and sensitive project, adding external insulation to reduce damp and mould, a lift to improve accessibility, new landscaping and access points to the courtyard for all flats, all new services, new windows and improved bin and bike storage.
