BURNTWOOD LANE

A rear extension to a terraced house in South-West London. The brief was to replace the cramped kitchen with a larger space for entertaining by extending into the rear garden. The project includes a new WC and utility space, to reduce noise in the living rooms. The extension features a vaulted ceiling to maximise the feeling of space, roof lights to bring natural light into the dining area and kitchen, and timber cladding to the rear elevation, creating a stark contrast between the new building and existing house.
